Kalachakra has four heads, twelve pair of arms, and one pair of legs. He stands in Yab Yum with his partner, Vishvamata, the mother of all, who is always orange.Kalachakra tramples Hindu deities underfoot. With his right leg, kamdeva, the god of lovem and with his left, Rudra, a form of Shiva. Beside Kamadeva lies his left Rudra his wife, Parvati. Below the lotus on which the yidam and his prajna stand, a triangle points downward. This is as the point of a magic dagger, Phurbu that is used to nail down dangers and symbolic enemies of the faith. Here, it’s edges have been trimmed with skulls, and the symbolism is clear; conquering death and thereby putting an end to he cycle of rebirth.
